Beauty and the Beast Auditions – May 4th & 6th

Summer is quickly approaching which means Broadway RFD rehearsals will soon be underway.

Auditions for the 2017 show, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, will be Thursday, May 4th from 6:30 – 8:00pm and Saturday, May 6th from 1:00 – 3:00pm at the SVMS/A.J. Steinberg Auditorium.

Those who audition should come prepared to sing a short selection from a musical (preferably) and do some script reading. An accompanist will be provided (bring sheet music if needed). Costume measurements for the show will also be taken at auditions so the costume crew can get a jump start.

This larger than life show requires a large cast with a strong chorus that can play multiple roles, sing and dance. We are looking for at least 11 women and 9 men in the chorus, so grab your friends and bring them along to audition!

Some specific needs for characters are: French accent (Lumiere & Babbette) and a gymnast (rug).

The show has 1 child role available (Chip). There are no children in the chorus. Chip can be cast by either a male or female child between the ages of 7-12. The role has multiple solo lines in songs and calls for a strong singer.

Broadway RFD is looking forward to creating another wonderful show this summer and that can not be possible without talented actors onstage. For additional questions or if you are unable to attend one of the scheduled auditions, please contact Eric Lundstrom (eric.lundstrom@gmail.com).
